Dr. Katrina Ramonell won the Morris L. Mayer Award in 2017.

One of the hallmarks of Dr. Katrina Ramonell’s teaching career at UA has been her willingness to help undergraduates clear up problems.

Ramonell received a doctorate in plant physiology from Louisiana State University in 1999 and completed her postdoctoral research at the Carnegie Institution of Washington.

Ramonell was appointed assistant professor at The University of Alabama in 2003. She has been an associate professor since 2009.
